Ruth Jones is a Welsh artist who studied at Swansea College of Art.  She further gained a BA in English Literature and a Masters degree in Lifelong Learning at Swansea University.

 

Ruth’s inspiration comes from the Welsh landscape and she uses mixed media, watercolours, acrylics and collage in a free and expressive style. Ruth is expanding her artistry skills by experimenting with cold wax and oil paint and is attending a residential course this year.

 

Ruth has been a member of Y Tŷ Celf – The Art House Gallery since it's launch in July 2019 and has also been exhibited at King Street Gallery, Carmarthen, Mimosa Gallery, Llandeilo, Llanelly House and Llanelli’s Athenium Hall.

 

Ruth runs an art class in acrylic and watercolour painting in Gorseinon and has organised art trips to Florence, Madrid and Amsterdam.
